Job Details

The Human Resources Generalist is a primary support for the HR Director, performing HRIS data maintenance and processing, applying all HR policies and procedures to ensure that standards and laws are followed. Requires intermediate knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources. The HR Generalist must possess strong initiative as a self-starter, be highly flexible, perform work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities and duties, and work cross-functionally within HR under minimal direct supervision and oversight.

Essential Job Functions:

Prepares or maintains employment records related to the HR Lifecycle such as performance management, exit process, transfers, and promotions.
Performs departmental audits when required or as needed, including sourcing and compilation of data and/or reports.
Performs filing and archiving of HR documents.
Performs data entry functions into various HRIS systems, and coordinates with HR internal staff.
Assists with employee relations including investigations, documentation, and complaints brought forward by employees.
Supports the organization’s Standards of Professional Conduct as outlined in the OneLegacy policies and procedures, and the mission, vision and core values.
Explains company HR policies, benefits, and procedures to employees and answers general HR questions regarding benefits, safety, and policies.
Ensures compliance with labor law regulations.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned by Leadership.

Physical Environment/Working Conditions:

Location: Corporate Office

Travel: Occasionally required to travel by personal auto or air to meeting sites and other locations.

Work Hours: Full time day shift with occasional overtime

Job Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. PHR certification or higher desired. Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in the HR field with a varied HR background. Experience working with an HRIS system required; UltiPro and Kronos strongly preferred. Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm required.
