Virginia Health Services is in search of Short-Term Contract Licensed Practical Nurses to join our dedicated team here at our Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers located in Kilmarnock & Gloucester, VA. These positions have a variety of shifts available, with contracts ranging anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months, along with competitive pay rates, including a completion bonus!
We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to care for our patients and facilitate the best quality of skilled care and long-term care for our residents. You will also be responsible for educating them and their families on the care they will be receiving.
The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will also be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently.
The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and holds current Virginia Practical Nurse license.
- Experience/education in Gerontological Nursing preferred.
- Computer knowledge preferred.
- Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information.
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, turn, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, talk, hear, taste and smell.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 pounds.
