Program Therapist (Licensed) – BasePoint Academy – McKinney, TX

BasePoint Academy is seeking to hire a dynamic Program Therapist to join our team in McKinney, TX. The Program Therapist is expected to help carry out the vision of overall health and wellness of BasePoint Academy’s clients and community. The Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality, professional mental health and substance abuse counseling to teenagers through individual, group, and family sessions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete initial psychosocial assessment for new BasePoint Academy teens for Partial Hospitalization Program treatment or Intensive Outpatient Program
  • Establish initial treatment plan for each teen and implement the appropriate interventions; actively participate in an interdisciplinary treatment team environment
  • Conduct individual, group, and/or family therapy in accordance with state regulations and professional licensure law(s)
  • Maintain scheduling of all active patients to ensure clinical needs are being met
  • Collaborate with patient’s referring physician/professional, as well as any other pertinent treatment providers, to ensure optimum level of care
  • Participate in consultation or supervision in accordance with licensure law(s)
  • Perform other duties (within the scope of your license) as needed to support BasePoint Academy initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
  • If necessary, provide crisis intervention services to students to ensure risk levels are properly managed and, when appropriate, triaged to higher level of care

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work or equivalent master’s degree in a mental health field AND current TX license as a LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LPC-A
  • Excellent written & verbal communication in English
  • Comfortable with PC and charting electronically, Dr. Chrono or MyEvolv experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
