Dental Hygiene Assistant – Gary S Davis, DDS – Shippensburg, PA

We are willing to train the right person to be a professional dental hygiene assistant. The right person is someone who is motivated, flexible, willing to learn and dependable. Our goal is to make the dental office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You will ensure excellent customer service and assist the dentist and our hygienists in all dental procedures. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Ideal candidate will be a team player and reliable.

Pennsylvania X-ray Certification is a plus, however willing to pay for certification course for the right candidate!!!

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers in the dental office
  • Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

All patients are screened and must wear masks. Masks, face shield, googles, gowns, and other PPEs provided by office. HEPA Filters provided in each treatment room. All CDC, OSHA and Department of Health guidelines followed.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Dental Assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
