We are looking to add a full or (part time) highly experienced Dental Hygienist (RDH) to our hygiene team in Lapeer. Family owned general dental practice with multiple doctors. Monday through Thursday hours are available. We are open and see hygiene patients late one night of the week (Tuesdays) but we can be flexible on hours. Half day Fridays are also a available if applicant is interested.
We are really looking for the right individual to take over this position. Our patients expect a high level of care and service from their hygienist as they have had in the past and that is what we expect the applicant to provide for them. Position is probably more suited to an RDH with 5+ years experience.
Applicants must be able to do the following:
- Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, fluoride and sealants.
- X-ray certified and take digital x-rays and intra-oral photos
- Perform a complete an efficient periodontal charting.
- Complete a thorough assessment of the patient’s teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues, and document any abnormalities or suspected conditions
- Complete a thorough health history and review current medications
- Provide professional and friendly services to patients of all ages and disabilities.
- Customize care to meet patient’s oral health and educate patients on good oral hygiene techniques
- Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Must be well-spoken, be dependable to show up for up for work, and be able to work well with others in a team environment and with different doctors throughout the week.
- Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices
- Knowledge of Dentrix and Dexis is a plus!
