Part-time Faculty Positions
DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed.

Responsibilities:
The School of Nursing in the College of Science and Health at DePaul University seeks to fill a full-time tenure-track faculty position for the DNP and NP programs. This is a 10-month position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for modeling the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University’s Mission in Catholic and Vincentian higher education.
- Providing didactic and clinical instruction of nursing students primarily in the DNP and MSN-NP programs, depending on experience and qualification.
- Engaging in course development, updating and submitting course syllabi in the required format, assessing student outcomes, research and development of resources for instruction, and utilization and development of instructional design methods that include technology.
- Serving as lead faculty for main courses and mentor adjunct faculty.
- Maintaining an active research agenda.
- Advising graduate students.
- Serving on committees.
DePaul’s School of Nursing offers BSN, Master’s Entry into Nursing Practice, MSN-specialty, RN-MSN (online), DNP, and Nurse Practitioner tracks and certificates. Nursing Programs emphasize community engagement, service learning in vulnerable communities, social justice and excellent safe quality nursing care. Students are in clinical sites at over 50 health care institutions.

Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field required;
- Equivalent of two years of clinical experience as an APN required;
- Licensed as a NP to practice in the state of Illinois or eligibility for same with application in process required;
- Experience in teaching NP students preferred;
- Online teaching experience desired;
- Proven scholarship and publication preferred.
