Clinical Dietitian, Float – Community Hospital South – Community Hospital – Oklahoma City, OK

We’re looking for an experienced, PRN, dietician to help float between Community Hospital North and Northwest Surgical Hospital.
Directs Dietary Director/Manager in preparation of food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with Community and Northwest Surgical Hospital’s established policies and procedures to assure quality food service is provided at all times. Always works as a team member within the entire facility. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions

• Approving menus and nutritional supplements provided to patients;
• Provide dietary counseling to patients and those responsible for the patient upon discharge;
• Performing and documenting nutritional assessments;
• Evaluating patient tolerance to therapeutic diets as appropriate;
• Collaborating with other hospital services (e.g., medical staff, nursing services, pharmacy service, social work service, etc.) to plan and implement patient care as necessary to meet the nutritional needs of the patients;
• Maintaining pertinent patient data necessary to recommend, prescribe, and/or modify therapeutic diets as needed to meet the nutritional needs of the patients; and,
• Maintaining professional standards of practice.

Accountability: Reports to: Chief Nursing OfficerLicensures & Experience: Bachelors in Nutrition required. Masters Degree preferred. Licensed to practice as a licensed Dietitian in the State of Oklahoma. Registered to practice as a Registered Dietitian.Two years of Clinical experience preferred.
