Therapy Team Manager – Keys Counseling – La Porte, IN

Keys Counseling is seeking a Therapy Team Manager to join our Leadership Team. We will pursue candidates who are passionate about improving the lives of children and families in the community, while helping therapists develop their clinical skills and knowledge. The Therapy Team Manager will strengthen the agency’s therapeutic programming and promote the growth of the Keys Counseling therapy services across several counties.

As the Therapy Team Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team of therapists, evaluating community need, developing therapeutic groups or programs that comply with DCS contracts, ensuring program compliance, and carrying a small caseload of clients. Using your prior experience as a therapist and supervisor, you will help ensure clients receive the highest quality of care from Keys’ therapists. As the Clinical Manager, you will guide and support a team of therapist who provide home and office-based therapy services.

We are seeking a professional candidate who is experienced, supportive, resourceful, creative, and organized. Proven leadership skills are necessary to help build this program. Therapy Team Manager is responsible for the ongoing training and supervision of the clinical team members and will be a part of the growing Leadership Team at Keys Counseling.

Duties of Therapy Team Manager:

1. Provide individual supervision for therapists and ensure services are high quality, culturally sensitive, and follow best practice & evidence-based methods

2. Assign cases and continually assess caseload size and staff availability

3. Identify staff needs and coordinate appropriate training

4. Address concerns about employees, including discipline and corrective action plans

5. Recruit, develop and manage your team of therapists

6. Assist in training and new – staff orientation for all Keys Counseling employees

7. Evaluate ongoing needs, quality, and appropriateness of therapy services

8. Engage in building relationships with referrals and community agencies

9. Participate in Leadership meetings, regional meetings and others as assigned

10. Generate necessary reports and documentation regarding department

11. Monitor staff timesheets for hours worked to ensure KPIs are met consistently

12. Review therapist’s progress notes, treatment plans, and monthly reports for quality and compliance purposes

13. Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

· Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in social work, clinical psychology, counseling psychology or a similar field

· LCSW or similar license required

· At least 2 years supervisory experience required

Preferred Experience and Qualities:

· Prior work with DCS and/or Juvenile Probation clientele

· Certification and experience in Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, DBT or other treatment modalities

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities

· Effective presentation/public speaking skills

· Willingness to be an active team member and leader
