We currently provide specialized treatment programs for children, adolescents, and adults.

JOB SUMMARY:

The BHT works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and is responsible for monitoring and reporting patient behaviors and assisting in daily care, crisis situations, and medical emergencies as needed as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team.

The available shifts currently are Evening 3:00pm- 11:00pm OR Overnight 11:00pm-7:00am. The schedule is Monday- Friday and rotating Weekends (required).

Shift Differential is offered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides patient care including but not limited to bathing, assistance with dressing, body checks, etc.
  • Actively participates in unit therapeutic activities according to program schedules.
  • Maintains a constant awareness and supervision of patients including attending gym/yard activities, crafts/art/group/recreation therapies and out trips as assigned.
  • Serves as a positive role model for patients and peers, providing examples of appropriate behaviors, effective communication, and conflict resolution; Encourages open, honest communication to facilitate problems solving on the unit.
  • Charts in patient records as appropriate and/or assigned; Individual is self-motivating and assists with all unit activities.
  • Initiates patient/employee incident reports.
  • Provides a verbal report/briefing to the oncoming shift.
  • Follows infection control/prevention policies and assists with infection control/prevention rounds as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Follows company policies and procedures including personnel, nursing, and administrative policies. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Relevant work experience preferred. Ability to work flexible hours/all shifts. Able to meet all physical demands.

At least 20 years of age.

Must be able to pass a drug test and background investigation.
