Looking for FT Optometric Technician assists the Optometrist by conduction pre-screenings and pre-testing prior to the doctor examination.
*Ensures high quality patient care.
*Maintains a professional atmoshpere and appearance of the doctor’s office and pretest rooms.
*Understands ocular terminoloy and diseases.
*Explains to the patient the types of preliminary examinations.
*Completes necessary paperwork and performs testing on patients prior to the doctor examination.
*Knowledge of electronic health records/ maintaining accurate and organized patient records.
*Promotes visual field testing and retinal screenings.
*Reviews prescrioptions and/ or patient information carefully and accurately. Consults with the optician, Doctor or management when necessary.
*Fills out referral forms and follow-up paperwork as required.
*Ensures equipment, both exam lane and pre-test, is properly maintained.
*Orders and maintains contact lens diagnostic and revenue supplies.
*Handle patient flow efficiently.
*Follows store policies and procedures.
*Communication skills are vital
*Must be able to maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment.
*Professional attitude and appearance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour

Experience:
- Ophthalmology: 1 year (Preferred)
