JOB TITLE:

PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

LOCATION:

San Antonio TX and surrounding areas (clinic/school-based/in-home/telehealth)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct initial evaluations via client interviews and by administering standardized assessments to document / assess client’s occupational profile, medical history, client’s strengths, weaknesses, performance deficits, and environmental factors affecting occupational performance.
  • Establish therapy goals to address performance deficits and develop client-centered treatment plans including home programs to improve occupational performance across environments.
  • Collaborate with family/caregiver and other disciplines (Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, ABA) to coordinate and enhance quality of care.
  • Implement client-centered interventions to improve therapeutic outcomes and ensure treatment provides the just-right-challenge given client’s goals and baselines.
  • Reevaluate client’s performance using standardized assessments and through clinical observation to document progress and make necessary recommendations (e.g., continuing treatment, discharge, etc).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Degree or Higher (e.g., OTD)
  • Current OT license in the state of Texas

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1 year of experience working with pediatric population
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Familiar with pediatric standardized assessments (e.g., PEDI, PDMS-2, BOT-2, DAYC-2, Sensory Profile 2, etc.).
