Pharmacy Technician – Full-Time
As a full-time, nonexempt, CPS Solutions Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing and delivering ordered medication, restocking Omnicell cabinets and compounding sterile IV products using aseptic technique. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week. This position will work day and evening shift rotations.
About the Facility: Rumford Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that is part of Central Maine Healthcare, which includes Bridgton Hospital and Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. CMH is an integrated healthcare system that serves the communities of central and western Maine. CMH also includes several affiliated healthcare practices that provide outpatient and clinical services and residential care facilities. Automation includes order entry, dispensing, and electronic records. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open 24-hours a day.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Maine Pharmacy Technician licensure active and in good standing
- Recent experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting is preferred, but willing to train
- Experience in sterile compounding preferred, but willing to train
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
- (PPD) TB Skin Test – Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella – (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine-Full (required)
