Chiropractic Assistant – Boots Chiropractic & Wellness Center, S.C. – Kimberly, WI

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chiropractic Assistant is a full-time or part-time position with availability to work on Saturday mornings once or twice a month. Since this is a small office setting, the position involves developing a full understanding of and performing most office duties. We value the importance of cross-training our employees, therefore this position will not only be involved with front desk duties like scheduling, taking payments, and managing patient flow in a team approach, but also record keeping, verifying insurance benefits, filing, ordering supplements and supplies, and assisting patients as necessary.

Boots Chiropractic & Wellness Center is located in Kimberly, Wisconsin and serves the surrounding area. We provide chiropractic care, wellness care, nutritional counseling, Power Plate vibration therapy, Zerona Laser body contouring and sports wellness. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Chiropractic Assistant:

  • Will be directly involved with patients-scheduling appointments, directing patient flow, and providing information in response to inquiries regarding products, services, and insurance
  • Collect payment from patients and process payments
  • Create patient experiences that are of highest quality and fulfilling these responsibilities with honesty, integrity and professionalism while maintaining confidentiality and providing our patients with exceptional customer service
  • Record detailed patient treatment notes
  • Utilize chiropractic software
  • Assist in keeping weekly records of office performance statistics in an organized and accessible manner

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School or equivalent
  • Experience working in a chiropractic, medical, or other health care office
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel in particular)
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics—adding, subtracting, multiplying and percentages

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to openly communicate and collaborate with other team members
  • 2 years customer facing experience and exceptional customer service skills preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, detail oriented and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn all office duties and be able to prioritize office tasks with the team
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with others
  • Cooperative, approachable, caring and compassionate
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Agility—the ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, or legs to perform job tasks
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words and grammar and the ability to speak the English language
