ABOUT US:
Absolut Care is comprised of 6 senior living facilities located throughout New York State which includes five skilled nursing facilities and one assisted living facility. Our facilities are located in Allegany, East Aurora, Gasport, Orchard Park, Painted Post and Westfield. We offer a variety of services including subacute rehab, long-term care, and hospice.
Responsibilities
Work under the direction and supervision of physical therapists to:
- Observe patients before, during and after therapy, noting the patient’s status and reporting it to a physical therapist
- Help patients complete specific exercises as part of the plan of care and treat patients using a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretching
- Use specialized devices and equipment to assist patients
- Serve as a liaison to residents, families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for residents’ needs
- Record patients’ progress and report the results of each treatment to the physical therapist, working with them to discuss and evaluate resident information for planning, modifying and coordinating treatment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current PTA license in NYS required
- Previous PTA experience preferred
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional and reliable
- Strong customer service skills and compassion
- Vaccination required
