Medical Delivery Technician – UniversalMed Supply – Washington, DC

UniversalMed Supply is looking for a full time Medical Equipment Delivery Technician to join our Field Operations Department. This position reports to the local Branch Manager and is responsible for processing delivery, service, and repair orders for Durable Medical Equipment (DME).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver equipment to healthcare facilities and patient homes across specified geographical area
  • Set up equipment to patient needs using hand tools as necessary
  • Complete orders to service and maintain equipment
  • Process and complete required order delivery documentation
  • Responsible for delivering expedited orders when necessary and handling intermittent on call duties
  • Complete pre route activities, such as equipment and vehicle preparation
  • Perform warehouse inventory management activities, including equipment sanitization, labeling, and cleaning when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical equipment skills

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have the ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Flexible working hours and ability to work an on call for emergency calls when scheduled (if necessary)
  • DME Delivery knowledge preferred
