The Front Desk Coordinator provides customer service in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
Responsibilities Include:
- Greets patients and register patients according to established protocols including billing information ·
- Provide patient with intake and new patients forms, make copies of ID’s and takes patients picture and, Scan all documents into EMR
- Answers phone following One Health Medical Center guidelines
- Verify Insurance eligibility
- Support delivery of patient care
- Passionate about healthcare excellence
- Provides compassionate service to patients
- Provide patients with support and guidance
- Greet patients upon arrival and over the phone
- Collect co-pays and or cash payments for uninsured patients
- Complete accurate documentation of patients visits
- Obtain external medical records as required by physician
- Schedule appointments for new and established patients
- Confirm patient appointments the day before
- Prepare and send transportation list to transportation department
- Answer multi-line phones in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Work comfortably under pressure
- Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff and patient information
- Use discretion while working with sensitive information
- Communicate medical results to patients under doctor supervision · Prioritize tasks based of importance
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Check and advise management on need of office supplies

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities, workflow and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with respect to people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the medical field (essential)
- Knowledge of HIPPA regulations
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Working knowledge of ICD and CPT (advantageous )
- High School diploma (GED) required – (Associate Degree preferred)
- Working knowledge of healthcare insurance (preferred)
- Excellent documentation, communication and IT skills – required
- Familiarity with ECW a plus
- Experience with Microsoft
- Adhere to company policy and procedures
- Ensure reception area is clean, neat and well maintained
- Background and drug testing – Mandatory
- Able to cross cover on other clinic locations – as required
- Complete other clerical duties as assigned
- Must be able to speak, read/write in English and Spanish required
