Optometric Assistant/Receptionist – Europe Eye Clinic – Federal Way, WA

Providing technologically advanced services for our patients’ eye health and vision needs is the Mission of our company.

Our office has been around for over 24 years in the Federal Way area. Our work environment is relaxed and the team is comprised of staff that is passionate about patient care.

We are looking for someone who has team spirit, self-motivated and likes interaction with people.

On site training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient scheduling and customer service;
  • Check-in and check-out of patients for appointments, including obtaining patient history, and insurance information;
  • Obtain prior authorization for insurances;
  • Dispense product orders and collect fees when appropriate;
  • Computer data entry;
  • Telephone, email, and text communication;
  • Assist in pretesting patients as needed;
  • Provide training to a new contact lens wearer;
  • Run optometric tests;
  • Project a friendly, respectful demeanor, using proper speech and writing, with professional appearance and dependable work ethic;
  • Be a team player with enthusiasm; Be Compassionate, kind and happily give and receive help from coworkers.
  • Be trustworthy and reliable; Work independently on scheduled projects in a timely manner;

Requirements:

  • Available to work on Saturdays from 9:30 to 5:00

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 1 year
  • Computer Skills: 1 year

Education:

  • High school or equivalent

Work Remotely

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 – $26.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
To ensure the health and safety of our staff, an acrylic shield at the front desk is installed to provide a barrier between patients and staff. Masks are required for all staff and patients inside the office.
