Autism Paraprofessional – Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education – Four Points, TX

Job Summary

Under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavioral Technician (BT) and Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) provides clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism and related developmental disabilities in the home, clinic, community, and school settings.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works 1:1 with patients in the home, school, clinic and community settings
  • Consistently implements treatment plans with fidelity (under BCBA’s direction) and prepares program materials; treatment protocols that include a wide variety of domains such as toilet training, communication, social, and adaptive living skills
  • Collects and maintains accurate data and clinical notes utilizing data collection software
  • Reviews and implements consultation/supervision note recommendations
  • Participates in on-going training, evaluations and meetings, as required
  • Assists with parent training and clinical assessments, as needed
  • Communicates effectively with the BCBA regarding learner’s progress
  • Communicates appropriately and effectively with colleagues and families, as needed
  • Tracks supervision hours and annually renew the RBT certification as mandated by the regulatory body in order to maintain the certification
  • Works ethically and with integrity while following the BACB Ethical Code
  • Understands and adheres to HIPAA policies
  • Adheres to time and attendance policies and maintains a record, in good standing, of regular and reliable attendance and punctuality, in order to provide quality and consistent patient care
  • Adheres to Cultivate Management Corp policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (relevant college degree and coursework is preferred)
  • Desire to work with children, experience with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder is preferred
  • Commitment to become certified and maintain the certification as an RBT
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours weekly, including some flexibility regarding schedule changes required to accommodate patient needs
  • Must have reliable transportation for sessions at patient’s homes and schools, and possess a clean driving record and proof of automobile insurance
  • Reliable transportation is required

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, while being an active participant who contributes to team activities, meetings, and trainings
  • Ability to set and achieve goals that benefit the patient, the team, and the BT/RBT
  • Ability to receive feedback, coaching, and counseling while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to be a continuous learner
  • Ability to pass a background screen, reference checks, and drug screen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
