Summary of Position:

Moving Beyond Depression (MBD) partners with home visiting programs to provide in-home or virtual cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to mothers experiencing depression. Additionally, MBD therapists provide mental health training and consultation services to partnering agencies. TFC’s MBD program is the largest, longest standing, and most successful satellite site in the country. Salary Range:

$44,000 – $50,000

Essential Job Duties:

  • Implement the Moving Beyond Depression model per training protocol.
  • Ability to manage a consistent caseload of 12-15 mothers, in turn serving approximately 48 mothers a year.
  • Maintains fidelity to the model by meeting with team, supervisor, and/or consultant weekly. This includes individual supervision, case consultation, and review of audio recorded sessions.
  • Provides ongoing mental health training and consultation to community partners, ensuring effective wraparound care to children and families.
  • Prepares accurate, timely documentation according to established policies and procedures.
  • Accepts and responds to 24-hour emergency on-call rotation.
  • Maintains professional licensure as appropriate to practice in Kansas and Missouri.

Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Master’s degree in Social Work LMSW in both Kansas and Missouri or obtain dual-state LMSW within 2 months of hire.
  • Possess the ability to work with diverse families in a supportive manner throughout the referral, assessment, and treatment processes, while promoting equity and inclusion.
  • Able to serve clients in-home, community, and virtual settings, with COVID-19 precautions.
  • Travel throughout the facility, metropolitan area, and counties within the service delivery area is required; Occasional out of state travel may be required for training; Mileage and travel costs are reimbursed according to federal regulations.
  • Proficient technical skills (Microsoft Office, Zoom, Google Suite, electronic medical record software, etc.)
  • Maintain successful clearance on criminal, sex offender medical, and Missouri and Kansas child abuse/neglect background screenings.
  • English language proficiency

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Previous experience in perinatal mood disorders and/or providing cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • Three years prior professional experience providing mental health services to individuals and families.
  • Previous experience providing home visiting services or in-home therapy.
  • Previous experience providing mental health services via telehealth.
  • Bilingual fluency in written and oral English/Spanish.
