FULL-TIME *HIGHLY EXPERIENCED* VETERINARY ASSISTANT
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic person who is looking to gain additional experience in small animal general practice, teach and support other team members in their professional growth, and be part of an awesome team that truly feels like family.
We’re currently looking for an assistant with a refined skillset that includes the following (required):
- Venipuncture
- Radiography
- Fecal flotation setup and reading
- Ear cytology setup and reading
- Client education (prevention, vaccines, etc.)
- In-house prescription preparation
It’d be great if you have experience with the following skills as well (not required but strongly requested):
- Anesthetic Management
- Dental Prophylaxis
- Surgical Assistance
- IV catheter placement
- Intubation
- DaySmart Vet (previously Vetter) medical software
- Covetrus online pharmacy
At this time, this position would not be a good fit for applicants without significant experience working as a veterinary technician.

All staff are expected to help out with some janitorial tasks around the hospital.
This position is for full time work, and we are looking for a flexible Monday-Friday schedule. Starting rate is between $15-$22/hour (negotiable based on experience), depending on previous experience and proficiency with veterinary assistant tasks such as those described above, with yearly performance reviews that determine raises.

Application Question(s):
- Our clinic is staffed from 8:30a to approximately 7p Mon-Fri, closed from 1-2p daily (staff generally take ~30 min lunches in shifts during this time). Shifts are generally approx. 8:30a/9a to about 5p-6p, or approx. 11a-6:30p/7p, depending on DVM schedule and time off requests from other staff. Depending on hospital needs and staff preference we also schedule 8:30a/9a to 6p/7p shifts as well. Would you be able to work at least 4 days per week sometime between 8:30a and 7p?
Experience:
- veterinary technician/assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
