Residential Counselors (Day & Evening Shifts) – Family of Woodstock, Inc., – Rosendale, NY

Family House is under new leadership. We welcome persons to apply for this position if they are capable of making our young people feel safe, welcomed, and inspired to rediscover their value as a person and connect to school and other resources. Candidates should be able to exemplify professionalism and build trusting and healing relationships with teenagers, provide direct care, and assist with the development of independent living skills. Applicants must be responsible and consistent, have reliable transportation, a clean/valid driver’s license, as well as background clearances from the State Central Registry and the NYS Justice Center. The shelter is open 24/7 and for anyone who works Full Time, we offer flexible work schedules, free health insurance, and plenty of paid-time off: four weeks a year of vacation, eleven Holidays, and two weeks of sick time. A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Human Services and/or a related field, along with basic knowledge of working with “at risk” youth is preferred. Please know that all applicants will start as a Fill In Staff Member and are required to successfully complete a 3-month orientation/assessment period before being considered for a permanent full time or part time position. The ideal candidate will have open availability to cover a variety of shifts.

Wage: $16 per hour, plus a $2.00 dollar differential for overnight. Applicants may also inquire about awake/asleep overnight and per diem hours.
