The Ophthalmic Photographer performs all of the photography and angiography for the department of Ophthalmology. The department is currently utilizing digital imaging systems, so a strong background and base knowledge in digital file handling is a must. Photographers report directly to the supervisor and operations manager.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Performs all types of ophthalmic photography, e.g., fundus, external and anterior segment.
- Assists physicians by performing diagnostic tests, e.g.: fluorescein and ICG angiography, specular microscopy, A/B Scans, UBM, OCT testing, and topography.
- Regularly maintains work area and equipment in a neat and orderly manner; assists in the cleaning and organizing of the Center’s section on own initiative and reports any malfunctioning equipment as observed by supervisor.
- A competent retinal angiographer should be able to recognize and react to medical and photographic complications during fluorescein angiography.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
BS preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) and/or Certified Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT-C) and/or COA certifications strongly preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE:
Two-three years’ experience working consistently as a senior level technician or photographer
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Must be able to troubleshoot all devices
- Knowledge of anterior segment and posterior structures of the eye
- Can recognize and identify the ocular manifestations and associated findings of ophthalmic diseases and disorders
- Experience in ophthalmic photography and angiography
- Ability to manage patient workflow, multitask and think productively under pressure
- Excellent verbal and communication skills with patients, physicians, and other staff
