Job Description:

The ARMHS worker is to provide adult rehabilitative mental health services and enable clients to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills when these abilities are impaired by the symptoms of mental illness.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide basic and independent living skills to individuals enrolled in PDS Mental Health Program.

Assessment and monitoring in the areas identified in the client’s Diagnostic Assessment, Functional Assessment, and implementation of Treatment Plan.

Provide services in one-to-one in the recipient’s home or the community.

Maintain records of progress notes for each face-to-face meeting with clients and providers.

Assist and empower clients to access community resources and communicate with providers.

Teach skills to improve mental health, prevent relapse and engage in meaningful activities.

Complete all paperwork, reports, and charting contemporaneously and in an organized manner.

Meet regularly with Clinical Supervisor for individual and group reviews of client needs and receive direction for treatment.

Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Credentials:

1. Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field; and 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services in the treatment of adults with mental illness.

2. A Mental Health Practitioner for an adult member must have training working with adults who are experiencing mental illness.

3. Knowledge of community resources. Ability to work independently, enjoy a flexible schedule and work collaboratively with different providers.

4. Proficient in the use of Procentive to document clinical services.

5. A valid Minnesota driver’s license and access to a vehicle with insurance coverage to make home and agency visits.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with clients who have serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
  • Ability to submit employment verification from past employers.
  • Experience working with diverse clients who have to speak different languages.
  • Experience providing community services (i.e. case management, housing, and employment services)
  • Language proficiency: English, Oromo, Amharic, Arabic, Somali and Karen.
  • Successful completion of a background check and one week of training is required before clients are assigned.

Compensation

Salary: $23.00 to $25.00 /hour depending on experience

Quarterly performance review and bonuses.
