Medex Diagnostic and Treatment Center’s expanding behavioral health unit is seeking a part-time, Russian-speaking LCSW to work in our busy Forest Hills clinic several days a week (see below). A strong provider of medical and mental health care, Medex serves the local Queens community, and beyond.
We will pay a signing bonus of $7,000 for the right candidate.
HOURS: 16 – 24 hours over 2 – 3 days; further flexibility as clinic expands
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Outpatient psychotherapy with adults, in a neighborhood clinic setting
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Skillful in assessing client health and psychosocial needs
- Experience working with persons having a variety of diagnoses from various socioeconomic backgrounds
- Experience with/ ability to learn electronic medical record documentation is required, including scheduling follow-up appointments as part of sessions (EHR coming this year)
- Outreach/ collaboration skills in coordinating referrals, as needed
- Professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance, strong ability to collaborate with clinical and office staffs
- Positive organizational and dedicated documentation skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bilingual English/ Russian language fluency
- Valid NYS LCSW
- 3+ years’ experience psychotherapy in outpatient mental health
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
