Shiloh Medical Services includes a new full-service, 3 chair dental wing open Tue, Thurs, Fri. We are looking for a part-time Dental Hygienist (experience preferred but not required) to join our dental team. Days would be 2 days; your choice at time of hire. Our office serves a rural community and especially caters to patients without insurance. We seek to make prices affordable without compromising quality. We are looking for a team member with strong communication skills, organized, professional, service minded and willing to learn as we grow. We use Open Dental practice management software.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check health histories
- Identify conditions like gingivitis or periodontitis
- Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
- Sterilize dental instruments
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Give instructions to patients after dental procedures
- Take X-rays or dental impressions
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Assist with Monitoring supplies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $38.00 – $45.00 per hour
