Shifts available
- 8 hour shifts
- Skilled Unit: AM (7am-3pm), PM (3pm-11pm) or Noc (11pm-7am)
- Subacute Unit: AM (7am-3pm), PM (3pm-11pm) or Noc (11pm-7am)
Summary: Provides direct resident care, assisting residents in reaching their highest level of functioning. Provides direct, hands-on care to residents to ensure residents attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental and emotional well-being possible. The CNA assists in providing a clean, safe, happy and healthy environment for residents by performing the duties as described below.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Complies with the facility’s attendance policy requiring regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
- Assist with daily activities of daily living.
- Answer call lights to determine and meet patient needs.
- Use proper body mechanics when necessary.
- Provide companionship and excellent care to patients.
- Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair, gurney, etc.
- Transporting patients to dining area for meals and activities.
- Makes actual patient rounds, assessing, reporting and observing the following at least three times per day:
- Positioning
- Ensures timely response to call lights
- Wound treatments
- Incidents; falls, etc.
- Patient complaints / concerns
- Care planning as needed
- Performs other duties or functions as assigned by the DON and/or Administrator
Skills
- Proven experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Previous experience in a SNF or similar job setting would be preferred, but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:
- Valid and current California issued CNA Certificate
- BLS/CPR (required)
