ABA Clinical Director

The Therapy Room is looking for a committed Clinical Director to join our fabulous team of talented therapists. A board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) is a healthcare professional who studies the behavior of children and creates plans to improve or change problematic behaviors. They often work with patients who have developmental disabilities, brain injuries or emotional control, social or behavioral issues. BCBAs also engage patients manage issues such as stress or anger in healthier ways or achieve personal behavior goals. The Therapy Room is looking for a BCBA who specializes in children with special needs, including but not limited to Autism, and possibly the elderly patients.

Job Details

· As ABA clinical manager you will report directly to the Executive Director

· As ABA clinical manager you will oversee ABA operations and employees, RBT’s and other BCBA’s

· As ABA clinical manager you will engage, mentor and inspire our team while also handling a small patient caseload of your own to maintain a set of billable hours per week

· As ABA clinical manager you will ensure the ABA clinic is providing quality service while maintaining compliance

· As ABA clinical manager you will train each Therapy Room ABA staff member on policies and procedures, as well as training on providing excellent care to the patient and clinical standards.

· As ABA clinical manager you will create clinic standards and policies that evoke best practice guidelines for each patient

· As ABA clinical manager you will complete initial and recurring assessments as needed to maintain the patient’s continuity of services and best care applicable to each patient individually

· As ABA clinical manager you will create individualized treatment plans for each patient

· As ABA clinical manager you will collect data as needed on each patient to ensure effective treatment plans and best practices are being provided

· As ABA clinical manager you will provide family guidance

· As ABA clinical manager you will problem solve various situations in need of resolution

· As ABA clinical manager you will constantly collaborate with your team to ensure best practices guidelines are being provided

· As ABA clinical manager you will complete intake for all patients

· As ABA clinical manager you will plan discharges and transition plans for each patient

· As ABA clinical manager you will meet with families, teachers and medical professionals to discuss the patient’s treatment progress and recommended ways to address behavioral issues

· As ABA clinical manager you will employ methods, such as reinforcement and conditioning to correct or reduce aggressive, harmful and anti-social behaviors and to encourage positive behaviors

· As ABA clinical manager you will maintain best practices are being used through recent research and applying those practices appropriately

· As ABA clinical manager you will engage all contractors through weekly meetings

· As ABA clinical manager you will engage the patient in toilet training and appropriate cleaning after a patient has soiled themselves

· As ABA clinical manager you will engage in feeding activities on schedule for nourishment and sensory awareness

· As ABA clinical manager you will participate in marketing of the program

Certifications/Qualifications

· BCBA must be certified by the national Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

· BCBA must be certified by the national Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a supervisor

· BCBA must have state license or be able to obtain state license for the State of Texas

· BCBA must have a minimal of a Master’s degree

· BCBA must have a minimum of 3 years work experience independent of extensive training in treatment of applied behavior analysis/intensive behavior therapies

· BCBA must have a minimum of 2 years supervision work experience

· BCBA must be in compliance with all state/Autism mandate requirements as applicable to BCBA/ABA practices

· BCBA must have a completed extensive supervised training (i.e., 1,500 hours of clinical field experience under an experienced BCBAs supervision, at least 1,000 hours of clinical practicum work under closer supervision than field experience, or at least 750 hours of intensive clinical experience under the strictest level of supervision)

· BCBA must have professional liability coverage of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence, $3,000,000.00 aggregate of professional liability and $1,000,000.00 of general liability

· BCBA must be credentialed through CAGH or be able to be credentialed within 10 days of accepting an employment offer
