Starting pay for this position is $118,352; base pay offered may increase based on experience, skills and internal equity.
This position is for a PRN pharmacist, to help cover sick days and vacation days.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Retail Pharmacist reviews prescriptions, obtains clarifications and analyzes drug therapy. Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications according to established policies and procedures of the professional of pharmacy. Supervises pharmacy technicians in the preparation of medication.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D
3 years of experience in Retail Pharmacy.
Current Pharmacist license in the State of Illinois in good standing.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and various other medical personnel when explaining medication use and gathering and exchanging other medication information.
Analytical skills necessary in order to determine drug appropriateness and evaluate drug interactions.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Retail pharmacy experience.
Working knowledge of the QS/1 retail computer system.
