How Will You Make An Impact

RHD is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to join the LMCMS team. The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing and documenting individual and group therapy for adults, children and/or families using Evidenced Based and Best Practices. The Outpatient Therapist will be part of a multi-disciplinary team in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) working collaboratively with a Trauma-Informed Approach to achieve effective treatment outcomes.


Responsibilities/Duties

  • Provide services in person and via telehealth
  • Must have familiarity with DSM/ MH diagnosis and Substance Use Disorders
  • Comfort in running group therapy
  • Will perform intakes upon admission
  • Be familiar with regulations; OMHSAS and DDAP
  • Use of Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs)
  • Provide individual, group and family therapy
  • Knowledge of Trauma -Informed Care Best Practices
  • Build and enhance relationships with RHD programs and staff
  • Collaborate with external providers to coordinate care
  • Complete all clinical documentation in a timely manner
  • Work with clinical team in an interdisciplinary approach to care
  • Provide aftercare planning and link to internal mobile service resources
  • Participate in trainings as requested by Supervisor or Director

Required Experience

  • Master’s Degree in the Human Service field
  • Incorporate the concepts of evidence-based practices relating to recovery, trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, etc
  • Experience working with adults with Mental Health and D&A Diagnosis
  • Experience working in an Outpatient setting preferred
  • Ability to manage stress in the work place in a calm and professional manner
  • LCSW/ LPC/ LMFT strong prefered.

Required Education

Master’s Degree in the Human Service field

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a Human Services related field
  • Ideal but not required; ASAM training certficate
  • Ideal and Prefered but not required; Licensed Clinician in the State of PA (LPC/LCSW/ LMFT)

Lower Merion Counseling Services, a program of Resources of Human Development, is designated as an Integrated Community Wellness Center (ICWC) which provides coordinated, comprehensive, quality care. We offer care that is person-centered and family-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented, and that the integration of physical and behavioral health care will serve the “whole person”. LMCMS is a licensed outpatient, D and A and MH service provider.
