Make a difference to senior citizens in Antrim County. Antrim County is now accepting applications for a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position with the Commission on Aging in Bellaire. The successful candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent, have a valid Michigan driver’s license with reliable transportation, and be able to work independently. Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) months experience providing personal care services to individuals and hold certifications as a Certified Nursing Assistant or show current successful completion of a pre-employment National League for Nursing written examination.

Under direct supervision of the Commission on Aging (COA) director, the primary duties of this CNA include (but are not limited to) providing respite and/or personal care assistance to clients in their residence, simple meal preparation, providing additional health care for clients as directed by a registered nurse, assist client/caregiver with self-administered medications, and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
This full-time position requires 37.5 hours per work week and pays mileage reimbursement at the current IRS rate. The starting hourly wage for this position is $13.41 per hour, with a 3-yr step scale. The position includes health, dental, life, disability and pension. Monday through Friday, with no nights, weekends, or holiday work.
