The Dance/Movement Therapist in Outpatient Services provides assessment and ongoing treatment to a caseload on a daily basis. The Recreation/Movement Therapist will provide one–to-one psychotherapy to Outpatient Services patients. This Recreation/Movement Therapist will complete the required documentation on each patient on a professional level. This position works under the direction of the Executive Director of Outpatient Services and provides psychotherapy primarily to Adult’s, but may also provide services to Children and Adolescent populations. This position may also require providing service to all levels of Outpatient Services (including: general outpatient, intensive outpatient program (IOP), and partial hospitalization program). This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) 5 and older in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
The ideal candidate will:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Social Work required.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) therapist preferred.
- Group Therapy experience required.
- Previous experience in recreation in a healthcare setting.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or currently in the process of obtaining national certification; OR certified in the area of specialty (Art, Dance, Music, etc.) OR clinical professional licensure (LCPC, LPC, etc.) with certification in expressive therapy area required.
