We’re looking for an experienced Physician Assistant to help support our busy ER group. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgment, and be motivated to work as part of a team. This position is based out of McLaren Hospital’s Emergency Department in Port Huron, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care to emergency room patients, under the supervision of an emergency room physician
- Diagnose and treat patients, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Issue and administer appropriate medications required for patient treatment
- Educate and counsel patients and their families regarding compliance with treatment plans
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Current DEA/PA licensure/CPR/ACLS certifications required
- Must be available to work a variety of days and shifts, including holidays, weekends, midnights, etc.
