Optician is responsible for interpreting prescriptions written by our Optometrists, recommending frames, lens education, and conduct patient consultation. Optician must be able to calculate insurance co-pays based on eligibility, dispense and adjust eyeglasses, and check orders in from the laboratory. Optician will also maintain displays of optical merchandise and inventory within the optical area.
Responsibilities:
– Assist patients in the selection process of frames and educate on technology of lenses
– Delivery and fit of eyewear
– Lensometry
– Perform adjustments and repairs
– Maintain inventory and displays of optical merchandise
– Calculate insurance co-pay based on eligibility
– Understanding of teamwork atmosphere
– Passion for outstanding patient care
– Licensed Optician not necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
