Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant or related experience in a medical setting
Looking for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our busy and growing Family Medical practice. We strive on providing high quality care for our patients and working as a Team. The ideal candidate should exhibit a good work ethic, fluent in medical terminology, experience with medication refills and DME. Due to the fast pace of the clinic, candidate would need to be able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
Job description:
- be able to float from clerical to clinical duties as needed
- answering multi-telephone line
- schedule appointments for multiple providers
- medical records processing
- answering phone calls on medication refills/sending electronic refills, Rx Prior Authorizations
- home health nurse calls
- documenting all patient messages to appropriate medical provider
- triage/obtaining patient medical information upon intake and televisits
- assist Physician/Nurse Practitioners and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, and other patient care procedures
- communication with doctors and nurse practitioners
- record and process patient care documentation quickly and accurately
- completing DME forms and required documentation associated with DME
- communicating effectively with co-workers and always work as a TEAM
Must have:
-Basic office skills
-medication knowledge
-medical terminology
-able to multi-task
-bilingual a plus
