Full Job Description
The dental insurance coordinator will work as a dental insurance liason in our family dental practice, Distler Family Dentistry.
This position will consistently demonstrate professionalism in the workplace and in the delivery of customer service in this patient-centered environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Serve as a Patient Services Representative: Greet, direct and interview patients and enter demographic data on the computerized patient information system; answer telephone calls and inquires as able; compile patient charts; interview prospective patients on phone or in person and mail information to those interested in becoming new patients
- Set up payment contracts or make other financial arrangements with patients and/or third party agencies; counsel patients who are in arrears on accounts.
- Make patient appointments by phone or in person.
- As necessary, place phone calls to patients and insurance companies to follow up on past due accounts.
Competencies:
- Written and Verbal Communication Skills – Very good
- Microsoft Word – Fair
- Excel – Fair
- Eaglesoft/Open Dental proficient
Preferred qualification:
- Excellent telephone customer service
- Experience with electronic health records and filing dental insurance
Job Type: Full-time (32hrs)
Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour (negotiable based upon qualification and experience)
