Milan Area Animal Hospital is a well-established, full service, small animal practice, in search of a full-time employee.
Applicants must be motivated, personable, friendly, enjoy working with people, & capable of communicating effectively with clients, as well as other staff members. Must have exceptional client service & communication skills. Good work ethic is a must. It is crucial that applicants are equipped to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail & accuracy. Candidates must be able to work effectively, independently and on a team, while consistently demonstrating compassion and empathy for pets and their owners. The qualities we seek are critical to maintaining an outstanding hospital & staff.
We offer a matching IRA, vacation/sick pay, and discounts on services and products for personal pets. Experience is rewarded, but not required. Willing to teach the right person with no veterinary experience.
Must be able to work all hours of operation:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8 AM – 5 PM
Saturday 9 AM – 1 PM (closed the last Saturday of each month)
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Client service
- Manage multi-line phone system
- Assist Veterinarian with patients and surgeries
- Assist in cleaning, stocking and maintenance of hospital
- Schedule management
- Client education
- Invoicing
- Handle cash and Credit Card transactions
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Reliable Transportation
- Ability to carry 25 lbs – 30 lbs without restriction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
