Essential Duties & Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

Conduct patient assessments and develop and execute an effective anesthetic plan
Manage the patient’s airways and respiratory status
Educate patients about their surgery and recovery
Monitor patient’s vitals before, during, and after a medical procedure
Help prepare operating rooms by setting up equipment, laying out supplies, and preparing necessary gases
Prepare and administer anesthetics for patients
Perform regular patient visits and legibly record findings in a patient’s records
Request and assess diagnostic tests
Remain up to date with the latest advances in the anesthesia field including the introduction of new medical equipment and techniques
Assist with stimulator and pump implants, minimally invasive fusions, and nerve blocks and injections performed by anesthesia trained pain management physicians under conscious/moderate sedation (propofol, fentanyl, versed)
Work with other medical staff to develop pain management plans

Education and/or Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Minimum 2 years working experience as a CRNA required
Current RN license required
Skilled in airway management techniques and chronic pain treatment
Proficient understanding of current anesthesia practices and techniques
