Administers clinical care under the direction of a licensed physician. Performs a wide variety of patient care duties including the administration of vaccines, injections, and medications when appropriate. Supervises clerical and para-professional staff within the physician’s office under the direction of the Practice/Regional Manager. Ensures the office is properly staffed and all functions are consistently performed in a timely fashion while ensuring quality patient care. Resolves problems, answers questions, supplies and/or obtains information for staff, patients and TPI Administration. Oversees day-to-day operations of a Physician Practice. Responsibilities include ensuring that the scheduling, patient registration/reception, clinical care, and patient check-out/discharge processes are completed in a professional manner in accordance with established protocol. Responsible for office billing and collections, ensure compliance with cash handling policies/procedures, purchasing supplies, managing expenses, and payroll, etc. Responsibility for practice operations, including employee scheduling and development, physician scheduling, maintenance of medical records and files, updates electronic medical records as appropriate, patient satisfaction and quality management are significant aspects of the work.
Education
Associates Degree : Nursing or Non Degree Program : Graduate from a medical assistant program (Required)
Experience
General Experience and knowledge of current methods/techniques in nursing or clinical principles and theories (Required)
2 Years experience in a supervisory or clinical lead role with business administration knowledge and skills (Preferred)
License/Certifications
CMA – Certified Medical Assistant (Required) or LPN-LIC – PA Practical Nurse License (Required)
RN-LIC – PA Registered Nurse License (Preferred)
