Position Title: Vein Center & Interventional Support APRN or PA

Summary of Position:

Responsible for providing diagnostic, therapeutic and other vein services within their scope of practice and delineated clinical privileges. Works in cooperation with and under the direction of the radiologists of the Torrington Radiologists, PC Advanced Vein & Aesthetics Center (VAC). Assists in planning, coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of the VAC and providing interventional support in the hospital, when needed. Responsibilities include management of vein patients, assessment, provision of procedures and follow-up care directed at restoring/maintaining optimal health.

Supervision:

The VAC APRN or PA reports directly to the VAC radiologists.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing; 2-yrs experience working in a Vein Center and/or hospital interventional department; MA or APRN licensure/certification in CT and national specialty group certification; BLS/ACLS certification; Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism; excellent organizational and communication, customer service and leadership skills, marketing and program planning management; ability to work independently, resolve complex issues and accept responsibility for decision-making as it relates to the management and daily operations of the VAC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Aid physician with patient work up, patient consultations and documentation;
  • Perform spider vein sclerotherapy independently;
  • Aid in day-to-day running of a busy IR section and have the ability to perform vein access;
  • Ensure that all pre-visit work is completed in a timely manner including new information patient packets, pre-authorizations, co-payments, etc.
  • Provide all documentation to payers needed for billing clinical services;
  • Participate in the development of the aesthetic laser and cosmeceuticals program, including vein screenings, health fairs, lunch & learns and other community based projects;
  • Assist radiologists with routine interventional cases at the hospital (e.g.,

PICC/cath placement & removal, PORTS, ivc filter insertion, fluoro, etc.)

  • Other medical duties, as needed, to promote a successful practice.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary range $120,000-$140,000, depending on experience, 3 weeks vacationYR1, paid health insurance, group life long-term disability, CME allowance, excellent pension & profit sharing plan.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
