This Position Reports to: Clinic Manager/Clinic Supervisor/Clinic Lead
Department: Clinic Administration, CRP Clinics

Position Purpose: The Patient Service Representative performs receptionist, clerical and general accounting duties. This position is expected to maintain an environment focused on patient-centered care and embrace the tenants of the Better Every Day culture.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Receives patients, ascertains their needs, directs appropriately.
  • Gathers insurance information, accurately and fills out new patient information, updates established patient information.
  • Courteously answers the phone and takes accurate messages.
  • Schedules patients according to the physician, office manager directives. Collects payments per clinic collection policy.
  • Monitors and follows up on the collection of co-pay and balance due to uncollected at the time of appointment.
  • Performs general clerical and accounting duties. Reconciliation of payments collected.
  • Completion of day sheets.
  • Demonstrates customer relations as a high priority in line with Capital Region Medical Center vision, values, and mission.
  • Demonstrates behaviors that promote professionalism utilizing the principles of continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrates positive customer service and relations.

Staff may be required to float to other clinics as deemed necessary to help cover staff shortages.

Education Requirements: High School or equivalent (GED) Education Preference: High School or equivalent (GED)
Minimum Experience Requirements: No Experience Minimum Experience Preferences: Technical: 3 months to 1 year, Supervisory: No Experience
