WE ARE A COMPREHENSIVE PRACTICE THAT DOES ALL TREATMENT AT ONE LOCATION! THAT MEANS YOU NEED TO KNOW A LOT ABOUT DENTISTRY AND HOW TO WORK IN A MULTIDISCIPLINARY SETTING.
Must be able to use a Cavitron, Use an Invisalign scanner, breakdown and set up their rooms, coronal polish, place Arestin, and be able to spot abfraction, and malocclusion, suggest night guards, sleep guards, and laser treatments for patients!

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. What do Dental Hygienists do? Dental Hygienist duties revolve around conducting initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth (e.g. removing plaque) and advising patients on oral health and preventative care. You’ll help dentists decide treatments for teeth or gum diseases and handle dental emergencies. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. If you have a steady hand and great bedside manner, we’d like to meet you.
Description of role:
Our growing dental practice needs a Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit team. We serve all demographics of the population, from teenagers to the elderly, and we operate a busy office with high levels of traffic. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we accept walk-ins and take emergency calls. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.
Tasks:
Collect medical and dental histories from patients
Chart dental conditions based on dentist’s observations and evaluations
Take impressions of patients’ teeth for night guards, and splints
Sterilize dental instruments and tools
Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care
Take X-rays of patients’ teeth and develop them for dentist’s use
Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures
Skills and Requirements:
Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required (Bachelor’s preferred)
Current state license required
3+ years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist
Excellent verbal communication skills
Availability to work overtime
Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
Current CPR certification required
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays or dental impressions
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies
