Spanish-Speaking Assistant Coordinator/Administrative Assistant – Most Excellent Home Care Agency – Valley Stream, NY

Our company is a licensed home care agency serving the New York City and Long Island area and is seeking a Spanish-Speaking Assistant Coordinator for our Queens office (near JFK).
The Spanish-Speaking Assistant Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the management of current schedule for caregivers, filing, telephone calls and other duties and tasks as assigned. The Spanish-Speaking Assistant Coordinator also assists with the coordination and administrative activities related to authorizations, recruitment, orientation and training, and employee record compliance, as well as, other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.
Requirements

  • Must speak Spanish and English fluently
  • Minimum of six (6) months administrative assistant experience preferred
  • Require proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel)
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, handle confidential documents, and juggle various projects
  • Ability to define problems and tasks, collect data and establish facts, multitask and take direction from supervisors
  • Ability to perform various computer functions for information concerning client and caregiver scheduling and coordination
  • One (1) year satisfactory experience in Home Care, desired
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills desired
  • Dependability, respectfulness, patience and compassion desired
  • Computer literate
  • High school graduate or GED equivalency required

Responsibilities

Some duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Schedule caregivers with clients, ensuring compatibility and customer satisfaction on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Perform various administrative duties, such as, but not limited to, drafting correspondence and other documents as requested, creating spreadsheets, screening and directing phone calls, scanning documents, drafting and updating minutes, maintaining database and performing other tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with reviewing job applications for HHAs and checking required documents
  • Maintaining and ensuring that office files are up-to-date
  • Perform evening/weekend on-call duties in person and via work cell phone

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
