Job Summary
We are looking for a registered nurse who specialized in caring for people with cancer. Nurses often serve as first line of communication, and help coordinate the many aspects of the patient care throughout cancer treatment . They may perform a number of duties, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Coordinating the care of the cancer patient, including different treatment plans and tests
- Review health history
- Assess and monitor physical and emotional status
- Keep track of laboratory, pathology and imaging studies
- Safely administer medications, fluids and chemotherapy treatments
- Collaborate with doctor and other clinicians about the treatment plan
- Help the patient understand the disease, treatment plan and possible side effects
- Help translate complex medical terminology and answer questions
- Order medical supplies and drugs
- Assist with daily billing and coding for chemotherapy treatments
- Oncology/Hematology experience would be beneficial.
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing
