We are in need of a Veterinary Assistant at The Animal Eye Institute. It is a full or part time position.
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in our Vandalia Office
- One or two Saturdays a month in our Vandalia office
- Additional days/ hours are available in our Mason office Mondays and Thursdays if wanted
- Candidate must be able to lift 50lbs, handle medications, and be exposed to radiography
Our Veterinary Assistants are responsible for the care of our patients including but not limited to:
- Animal restraint for blood draws and examinations
- Performing initial clinical tests to the eyes
- Providing exceptional client service
- Filling medications and client communication
- Assisting for surgical procedures
- Preparing exam rooms for appointments
- Cleaning of surgical instrumentation
- Restocking medical supplies, sweeping, mopping, etc.
- Light paperwork
- Maintenance of in-house patients (feeding, walking, cleaning, etc.)
