Family Practice Physician or NP/PA – St. Vincent de Paul, (.2 FTE) – Neighborcare Health – Seattle, WA

This role will work Tuesdays. Additional premium for language skills for this clinic location.

Purpose

The Medical Provider ensures appropriate comprehensive health care to support the clinical care team in achieving Neighborcare’s goals for quality care, productivity and patient satisfaction. Perform independent clinical activities, and collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants when appropriate to achieve quality patient care. Work in partnership and joint accountability with other lead team members to achieve Neighborcare’s Mission and Guiding Principles and goals.

In this position you will:

  • Collaborate with patients, clients, staff, and community partners to identify and address the ways that systemic racism and other forms of compounding bias are root causes of disparities in clinical/mental health and homelessness in Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color and other communities that have experienced historical and structural oppression.
  • Provide patient centered preventative care, as well as diagnoses and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
  • Identify the need for referrals and provide overall care coordination in a team-based setting; assure accurate and timely completion of all clinical records; Completion of paperwork in a team-based approach
  • Completing necessary paperwork for patient care. Such as, prior authorizations and communications with outside specialists
  • Timely response to communications and test results; Provide feedback to appropriate teams and/or individuals when necessary

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Active ARNP or Physician Assistant license by WA State DOH
  • Board certified, Current BLS certification
  • DEA
  • Unless ineligible, a Buprenorphine Waiver as a requirement for all medical providers with a DEA license (except School-Based Health Center providers). Providers without this waiver will be required to sign up for this waiver after hire.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Buprenorphine waiver
  • Contraceptive Implant Certification
  • 2 years
  • Prior clinical practice experience in community health, FHQC, family practice
  • Bilingual skills
