HIRING LICENSED CLINICIAN FOR SAFE HAVEN RESIDENTIAL

Position: Licensed Clinician

Salary: Upon Discussion

Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Executive Team, the Licensed Clinician at Safe Haven is responsible for clinical duties to inspire patient’s wellness and recovery goals.

Safe Haven:

  • A short- term crisis residential Transitional Program
  • Provides mental health services in a safe and homelike environment
  • A place for clients to reach their wellness and recovery goals, reducing involuntary hospitalization
  • 24- hour program with licensed medical staff, therapists and counselors
  • Assistance and planning for discharge and recovery support

Essential Job Functions:

  • The Licensed Clinician shall be on the premises the number of hours necessary to manage and administer the treatment program of the facility in compliance with California Code of Regulations, Title 9, Division 1, Chapter 3, Article 3.5, Sections 531 through 535 and Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 2, Sections 81001(l)(5), (s)(2) and (t)(2).
  • Ensure communication with the licensee concerning the operation of the facility.
  • Conduct mental health evaluations and assessments for all patients to determine the most appropriate treatment and level of care required.
  • Provide specialized consultation and therapeutic treatment for clients with co-occurring mental health diagnoses or disorders.
  • Facilitate various group activities as needed, particularly clinical groups on topics such as seeking safety, psychiatric medication, and etc.
  • Work with staff and participants to ensure a healthy and effective therapeutic community environment in the CRTP.
  • Provide 1:1 crisis intervention and de-escalation.
  • Provide clinical supervision of LPHA’s, master level interns and group facilitators, as requested
  • Review and approve treatment plans, when required
  • Comply with confidentiality, HIPAA, mandated reporting, and comply with agency practices, policies and procedures
  • Participate in continuing education, as required by Licensing bodies and/ or agency;
  • Schedule, coordinate, attend and participate in regular, on-going in-service trainings for the benefit of the agency;
  • Participate in staff meetings as required

Qualifications:

  • License from the state of California as LCSW or LMFT required;
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant clinical treatment experience under DMH;
  • Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of addiction, recovery, Co-dependency, family systems theory, and treatment skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Maintain a yearly CPR Certification and First Aid Certification
  • Bilingual English /Spanish preferred

Education:

  • Master Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other related Human Services field from an accredited school (minimum requirement).

Must be able to pass the following pre-employment screenings:

  • Background check, including criminal history (LA CADA considers all applicants equally and will take into account each applicant’s individual life circumstances).
  • Drug and health screen, including negative TB test
  • Employment and education verification
