Responsibilities


Position Summary:


Initiate, monitor, administer, educate and document all aspects of respiratory care to include: aerosolized medication, chest physiotherapy, continuous mechanical ventilation, O2 therapy, positive pressure therapy, code blue response, establish and maintain patent airways. Perform routine diagnostic studies to include, but not limited to, PFT’s, ABG’s, O2SAT, Capnography, venipuncture, glucoscan, EKG’s and bronchospies.


Qualifications


Minimum:

  • Must have one year experience in an acute care of patients with respiratory disease including ventilator/critical care.
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program or equivalent.
  • Must be a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of California.
  • Must have an RRT by NBRC.
  • Must have AHA BLS and AHA ACLS cerifications.
  • Must have PALS certification within six (6) months of hire.
