Veterinary Assistant/Technician – Town & Country West Veterinary Clinic – Marietta, GA

Town & Country West Veterinary Clinic is looking for an EXPERIENCED Veterinary Assistant.

Since we are a clinic, you must be able to handle stressful situations and emergencies as they arise. We are a fast-paced veterinary clinic that wants someone who will be able to connect with clients and nurture and encourage lifelong relationships and having a positive attitude is the first step.

Responsibilities include:

· Restraining dogs and cats for procedures/exams

· Acquiring samples for diagnostic tests including venipuncture and radiology

· Running diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, parasite screenings, cytology

· Assisting in surgical procedures

· Perform dental cleanings

· Caring for hospitalized patients

· Filling prescriptions

· Loading, prepping and assisting in exam rooms

· General cleaning and maintenance of the hospital and its equipment

· Managing inventory

· Must be able to lift 50 lb.

· Other similar tasks required to keep the clinic running smoothly

Job requirements

· Must be proficient at restraining both dogs and cats

· Must have a good teamwork ethic and a positive attitude

Drug Testing

Pay Rate

$11 to $14 based on experience.

This job will require to work on 1 Saturday EOW (8:00 am to 2:30 pm). There will be 10-hour shifts 4 times a week on alternating weeks.
