Mobile Phlebotomy Manager Job Description

Summary/Objective:

We are currently seeking a full-time Phlebotomy Manager interested in joining an early-stage startup with strong experience leading teams in a mobile environment. This opportunity will begin as a traditional mobile phlebotomy role and will quickly evolve into a supervisory/administrative role.

Full-time

$20-25/hour, commensurate with experience

Mileage reimbursed $0.37/mile

Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees day-to-day operations within span of control resolving problems as necessary and ensuring operations are efficient, compliant, safe and of the highest possible quality
  • Assesses and monitors the workload of Phlebotomy staff and implements scheduling modifications as needed
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain a calm work environment with conflict resolution, encouragement, motivational skills, and interpersonal tools
  • Ensures established benchmarks, such as turnaround time and performance improvement metrics are consistently met
  • Engages, coaches and mentors team members based on talents and professional aspirations
  • Continuously monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of services, delivery methods and procedures
  • Develops and executes a roadmap for building Phlebotomy operations that are highly efficient, high quality and compliant with various regulatory agency requirements
  • Optimizes management structures and workflows within span of control to continually improve quality and efficiency
  • Ensures staff is performing at acceptable levels and addresses issues of low performance when required

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of Phlebotomy Management experience required
  • 7+ years of Phlebotomy experience required
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and train others
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize duties
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great customer service skills
  • Perform, collect, and prepare specimens when needed
