Responsibilities/Job Description:
The Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurse/caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies. The Nursing Assistant does not work autonomously but works under the direction of a professional nurse. The Nursing Assistant may be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager/charge nurse. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Required
- Complete paid training at St. Paul College for nursing assistant program with Basic Life Support.
- Once you are listed as active status on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry and have BLS certification you will be able to start your position!
- Before enrollment into the program you must have an offer at one of the hospitals listed above in the Overview section.
- Upon job offer must be eligible for admission/enrollment in the nursing assitant course at St. Paul College.
- Must be willing to commit to employment with M Health Fairview for at least 1 year after start date.
